The "Brian White Jazz Group", formally known as the "Txt Messengers", are a group of versatile jazz musicians from Jersey in the Channel Islands, that specialise in laying down an atmospheric backdrop of music. The group plays Standards from the American song book, ratpack favorites, original jazz compositions, Latin jazz, bossa and romantic ballads.
Ideal music to accompany a wedding reception, cocktail party or as a backing during a sophisticated dinner or just for the thrill of having a live Jazz band.
The Group can perform as a Jazz Trio, Jazz Quartet, Jazz Quintet or as a Jazz Duo (Guitar and muted Trumpet). The Duo option has become a popular choice for wedding ceremonies followed by the Quartet for the wedding reception.
The band has performed at many of the Jersey Arts Centre and Jersey Tourism run events and festivals over the past 9 years as well as appearances in the Blue Note Jazz Bar, Jersey jazz festival and private performances at wedding receptions, corporate events and balls
The Brian White Quartet have been the summer "House Jazz Band" at the Hotel De France in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and has enjoyed in the past a 1 year residency at the SAS Radisson Hotel, Jersey C.I (Channel Islands).
The Quartet is currently resident jazz band at the top Jersey jazz club "Jazz @ Roberto's". The band performs two sets every Friday between 7.00 & 10.00, an ideal setting to showcase the band if you are considering hiring for your wedding reception or event. During this live jazz club set you will be able to see and hear the Jazz Quartet in its live musical environment.
The Brian White Jazz Quartet are a highly profession and motivated group of Jazz musicians, all from Jersey in the Channel Islands (C.I.) Jazz Quartet - Trumpet, Piano, String Bass and Drums Jazz Trio - Trumpet, Piano and String Bass Jazz Duo - Trumpet and Guitar or piano Vocal Quintet - Male vocal, Trumpet, Piano, String Bass and Drums Latin jazz combinations can also include nylon string guitar Due to the fact that all of the Jazz musicians used are local to Jersey CI (Channel Islands) and that we charge no agent fee, the Jazz Groups are an affordable live music option for any wedding reception, Corporate event or family party. The Brian White Jazz Group play from a selection of music that include Jazz standards, American songbook standards, Ratpack, Ballads, Latin Jazz, Bossa, Samba and original Jazz compositions. With prior notice we can arrange almost any tune for your wedding reception, first dance or special event.
